Why Does It Look That Way?            General Specifications               Performance            The future Airplane

Estimated Performance

A quick note before you look at all these numbers.  What we said in the section on Design Goals is worth repeating here.  “As in any new aircraft program, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and the eating comes with flight test.”  As we noted, we haven’t gotten there yet.  The numbers that you see below are the result of engineering analysis and the wind tunnel tests (that’s important) and should be in the ball-park.  We’ve tried to be conservative (in engineering speak, that means we’ve tried to be careful).  We know that it’s much better if the airplane cruises faster than advertised and stalls slower than advertised rather than the other way around.  But do cut us a little slack on the exact numbers until we get the bird up in the air.  OK, ‘Nuff said.
